    Colts franchise P Pat McAfee

Pagano said McAfee was a priority re-sign during combine last week. Per @mchappell51, #Colts still working on long-term deal after tag.

Whatever gets the job done, I didn't see anyone else on the roster worthy of getting tagged. This will probably end up like Mathis's situation last year. And the tag is only $2M I believe...

That is 2 mil that would be saved by releasing Vin. Just do it, Colts.

Nah no need to release Vinny. I still think he can play. This tag was exactly what I expected. No way we was going to let him walk. March 12th cant get here fast enough lol.

I do not want to see him go. 26 of 33 is not bad and he had 4 of 50 or more. Maybe get someone after the draft and have Vinny train him for a year.

I would be surprised if a long term deal isn't in the near future?
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

I always say Vin is still on the Patriots payroll. I've been sour on him since that game at SD in '07 (I think) where Peyton had 6 picks but we still had a chance to win at the end, then Vin shanked a 29 yarder...

I don't like that as an excuse tho, he shouldn't have been active if he was so affected by his groin that he couldn't make a 29 yarder.

What was wrong with his numbers last year? Ok a few more makes would have been better but even at his age he put 4 through of over 50.

he missed a lot inside the 40... and had a momentum killing miss in the playoffs.

I wonder if it's in the cards for Pat to pull double duty. He's confident he could do it, and apparently can kick some long ones. When's the last time that's been done in the NFL?
