Glad that this is now out of the way and taken care of. Im interested to see what his cap hit looks like each year. We now need to focus on getting a long term deal done for Cruz and Nicks, and seeing what will happen with Diehl, Webster, KP and Bennet.

Will Beatty will now have the 9th highest guaranteed contract for a OT in the NFL. If Beatty hit the open market, he was expected to get somewhere between $20-$25 million guaranteed rather than the $19 he received form the Giants. Giants re-signed a player entering the prime of his career at 27 and did not have to spend top $ to do it. Beatty was priority #1 for the Giants this off-season and now he is back under contract. Great job Jerry Reese!!

Not great? He was ranked in the top 10 this year. At Left Tackle.

He's only 27 years old.

He's "ascending" towards being an excellent LT.

It's only 19 million guaranteed and only a 2.5 million dollar cap hit with his signing bonus.
