This is just a good hockey trade for both teams. You don't see this much anymore.

Ryder has always been one of my favorites. Mtl, Bos, or Dallas. Hope he kicks *** in MTL once again even though I wish he came back to Boston...

I don't know which one I would have rather had Ryder or Cole, but I guess it doesn't matter now.

It's a good hockey trade. Dallas gets more of a power forward who will be there for this year plus 2 more years for a guy who was almost guaranteed to leave. Montreal gets a good goalscorer for this year for an unhappy and slumping player in Cole. Montreal also gets the pick and will have more cap space this offseason.

You're not going to sweep us is my point. We're going to put up a battle.

Stupid deal for Dallas. They take on a big cap hit longer term deal, habs get likely the same or more production from Ryder, a smaller cap hit and a pick. Great move by Bergevein.

It's a really puzzling move by Nieuwendyk and the Stars who are still in it sort of for a playoff spot. A no brainer great move for the Habs. Cannot see why this happened. But it did. The Stars must see something in Cole's game that's not there at the moment. His season has been awful.

Cole is strongly considering retirement after the year. That's been floated out there consistently since the beginning of this year.

It's a pain for me to check on my phone but is he over 35? Even if he retires I like the move in the Habs favor for clearing out space, they'll have plenty to spend.

Bergy taking the league by storm!

But seriously, it's awesome to have a GM that doesn't have his head up his ***.

I don't think it's a bad move for Dallas. Imo Cole is a better player and I think Ryder willl fall back to his boston numbers again in a big market. Just my 2 cents

No he's 34. During the lockout he said his heart wasn't in it anymore, and then Bergevin said he wanted to bring players in that wanted to be there. lol i think we should have seen this coming.
