Crazy idea but would you like a system where coaches could be traded for players, draft picks or other coaches? It is not totally without any precedent. When Mike Keenan left the NY Rangers the NHL handed out a punishment that included the compensation trade of Esa Tikkanan for Petr Nedved

The blue jays just did this in Baseball..until then I didnt know it was possible lol

I was thinking with Duncan getting old maybe the Spurs could trade Pop for PJ and Brook Lopez during the summer, lol

I did not hear about this. Was it coach for coach? Coach for player? Coach for picks? Or coach for cash?

Can you really? I know that in baseball you can trade managers but I'm pretty sure you can't trade coaches.

the raiders dealt gruden to the bucs for 2 firsts and 2 second round draft picks

jets dealt belichick for a first in 2000

white sox traded ozzie to the marlins last year

Miami traded Stan Van Gundy to Orlando for a 2nd round pick a few years back. This was after Van Gundy "retired for family reasons", but was still under contract with Miami.

You can already trade coaches but it doesn't happen very often.
