The Lakers, Warriors, Jazz, Blazers games forum

Just an idea when anyone wants to talk about a particular game between teams that the Rockets are fighting for playoff spots with we could discuss here. Was happy to see both LAL and Utah lost tonight

This is actually a pretty good idea. I watched bits and pieces of the ends of both of these games and was pleased the Rockets finally caught a freaking break for a change. The Warriors also have back-to-back tough road games at Indiana and New York which could fall our way, but Houston has to take advantage and get a ton of wins against some of the easy teams upcoming on their schedule.

Ya i couldnt watch either game last night because I had alot to study but I saw those scores. But tonight im gonna try to watch Golden St. and Indiana. I feel like Golden St. is going to start playing well again without Bogut but hopefully Im wrong. These two Dallas games coming up in the next week or so are actually going to be more important than I was hoping as Dallas is just 4.5 behind us. Honestly if Dirk plays like he is capable of I will be happy to win one of those games.

Yeah, I was going to say it, watch out for Dallas, they're now a bigger threat than Portland in my opinion. It seems Dirk is starting to look like Dirk again.

The Mavs are playing better basketball, but look at who they're beating. Aside from one win over Golden State, they haven't been a single team better than .500 since they last beat Houston on Jan. 16. I'm not worried about them in terms of the playoff race. I'm more worried about having to face them twice in back-to-back games coming up, because they always play the Rockets close.

But if we lose both of those games to Dallas they would be right back in the thick of things. Also, John Hollinger did his playoff odds and had the Rockets at 96.9% chance of making the playoffs. As long as we don't make the games like we had in Washington a habit, we should be fine.

And I was listening to 610 this morning and they were saying our best first round matchup would be Memphis and I was thinking they were crazy. But Memphis is only 1.5 back of the Clippers and none back in the loss column. If memphis can get up to that 3 seed (very possible with the way they have played since the Gay trade) and we can get to 6th, you could almost make an argument that the Rockets would be favored to win that series. Even if they have won 7 in a row, we finally have two big guys in Trob and Asik to rebound against Zbo and Gasol who usually kill us on the offensive glass. That is my dream matchup for sure

Warriors and Pacers just had a pretty impressive brawl in which Hibbert threw Steph Curry to the ground on 3 different occasions. May see some minor suspensions for Lee or Curry. Pacers up 10 btw

I hope this doesn't jinx anything, but today went about as good as it could have gone for the Rockets. Golden State lost and Dallas lost, but the Mavs kept it close, so the Milwaukee starters should be fairly tired coming to Houston tomorrow night. We'll have to wait and see whether any Golden State players get suspensions, but that certainly wouldn't help the Warriors much right now.

But with Golden State playing the second night of a back-to-back at New York and Utah playing a tough Atlanta team at home, the Rockets could feasibly leap frog Utah tomorrow night and pull within 1 1/2 games of the Warriors.

Dallas (Memphis), Utah (Atlanta) and Golden State (NY) play tonight, I bet Utah wins, but the Hawks could make it tought for them.

Nuggets-Blazers tied at 92. If Denver wins, the only team that had a good night will be LAL
