    Utah Jazz Draft Picks 2013

    http://nbadraft.net/2013mock_draft

some current names out there. I would be very surprised if the jazz kept both picks barring them just getting zero real offers for either.

I'd give a ton to get Oladipo out of Indiana. The kid does it all. A lot of people compare him to Dwayne Wade.

I could see the Jazz keeping both picks if for no other reason than to fill roster spots with cheap contracts given how many they will need to fill this summer.

During a game in 1982, Frank Layden, then head coach of the Utah Jazz, had seen enough of his team's poor performance and wanted an early exit. Layden verbally abused Strom so he could get ejected from the game. Strom knew what he was trying to do, and when Layden asked why he didn't eject him, Strom replied, "I know what you're trying to do, Frank, but if I've got to stay out here and watch this $#!^, so do you".

I dunno about the Wade/Oladipo comparisons. He's good but I dunno if he's that good. IMO he is one of the better players in the draft and depending on who stays could be top tier talent this year.

Warriors are 2 games up on the Jazz, with 16 homes games and 10 road games left. The Jazz have 14 homes games and 12 road games left. So were 2 games up with 2 more home games. Not to mention that were only 1.5 games back of Denver, who have 15 home games and 10 road games. So there's a pretty solid chance we could move up to the 5th seed and play Memphis, while you guys are likely to stay in the 7th seed and play the Thunder. That's if you don't get caught by Houston and the Lakers. Good luck.

I'm liking CJ McCollum He's a senior, He can shoot over 81% from the line. He is also a decent but not great passer.

Smart is probably my favorite player in this draft along with Oladipo.. For where we are picking though, I like the idea of Kelly Olynyk from Gonzaga and Trey Burke from Michigan. Those two in the late teens, early 20's could be great fits with the Jazz.
Burke is the best PG in college basketball this year.. maybe he isn't projecting to be the best pro because of his size but all the skills are there. He is incredibly fast with the ball in his hands, has a great handle, great shooting stroke and can get his teammates involved.
My favorite college team is Gonzaga and Kelly Olynyk has carried them to a top 2 seed this year. He is incredibly crafty with the ball in the post and he also has a great shot out to the college 3. He could be a defensive liability at the next level but he could also turn into a 7' version of Louis Scola. He was a PG in high school and had a huge growth spurt late in his high school career which really hurt him coming into college. He spent a lot of time on the bench behind Robert Sacre for his first couple years at Gonzaga, then redshirted his junior year and adjusted his body and skill set to be a good big man. I love his game and think he would be the perfect compliment to our young bigs. If we did draft him though, I'd say Millsap would be more likely to stay than Jefferson but that's a whole other story.
I also like Myck Kabongo as another late 1st, early 2nd rounder. He was projecting to be a lottery pick out of high school but with the off the court issues (20+ game suspension), his value has dropped a lot. He put up 31pts, 8rbs, 6asts and 4stls against OU last night in probably the best game of his college career. If he can string some more good games together before the end of the year, I'd definitely be interested.

I just hope we try to get one boom or bust pick with one of the two if we keep them both. although I would prefer to just use them as trade bait.

I know he's caught fire recently and might be gone by the time our picks come around but I think Otto Porter would be a perfect fit here.
