Sorry to bring up a sour subject, but...

What if Horry missed the 3? How would life be different? As we all know that shot pretty much ruined all of our lives and there's been a negative trickle-down effect since. Adelman fired, roster blown up, coaches keep getting axed, team goes years without even playing .500 ball, Maloofs don't have money, etc...

If Horry misses that shot, very likely kings win the WCF and end up beating NJ in the finals. The city would have a championship...

If Horry misses that 3, would we be having these conversations about needing to get a new arena? Is Horry the source of all of our problems?

I think our situation would definitely be different. I think we would already be playing in a new arena. Our roster right now would not suck. Our coach would be a good one.

But that's too much too think about. I think it's finally time for our patience to pay off after all these years of torture from the Maloofs. I feel really confident with what the outcome of this year will be and what future years promise. I know MKJ will win this battle and we will finally be able to build a good team through reputable new owners in the city of Sacramento.

The Kings are doomed regardless with the Maloofs as owners.

Its hard to say. If the Kings won a championship, it would have brought a lot of money to Sacramento. You then flip some of that money into an arena. I'm not going to give the Maloofs credit, or the benefit of the doubt to think they would have executed an arena plan.

I read Horry, and instantly dropped 10 F bombs!

We'd have a championship and no one would think that the NBA is fixed.

We may have a new arena, but we'd still be stuck with retarded monkey's for owners.

Really, I think what changed our fortune was when Webb went for that uncontested duck. And fell over lame.

The only thing a championship would've brought was extra blow money for the Maloofs. They still would have made the same foolish investments & Sacramento would be in the exact situation it's in now.

I think it's a pretty complex issue to speculate on. Bibby could have missed the shot in game 5. The Kings could have lost to the Nets. Maybe they could have gotten a new arena out of it if they won, but maybe the Kings will stay in Sacramento with new owners and we still get a new arena. You never know. The Pistons won the championship in 04 and now they suck as much as the Kings. It's hard to say how things would change.

That's way I think it's more of c the injury to Webb. We could have the championship it that year and years to come after that. That was the biggest blow (pun intended) to our franchise.

We all know we deserve that championship either way.

That's the truest statement that's ever been uttered! Really, nba officials betting on the game, and the league can't even come and say that we atlest deserved to be in the finals; where we would have crushed the nets? Maybe one day the league will stop playing wwf style and call the game the way it should and give us what should be rightfully ours.
