The Lakers are a mess, but so is Portland. If Portland wants to seriously contend for a playoff spot, they have to win this game. Portland tends to struggle at the Staples Center, so I'm not very confident. Batum needs to battle through his injuries and make an impact. His play has been one of the biggest reasons for Portland's tough stretch of losses....

Lakers a mess? 20 games ago I would have agreed but they are getting their **** together look for them to go on a big win streak!

Love him or hate him, call him overrated, a punk, chump, and whatever blasphemy you people speak, fact of the matter is there is no denying he's the best of his generation and will go down as a top 5 player ever...what he has done for the NBA is amazing he's the biggest name in basketball all around the world and his chase for number 6 continues! All that matters though to us Laker fans is #17! Lakersnation! #16to17

For having the players they have, they are more than a mess. It is all with in context. If you were CHA you would not be a mess.

Have you guys also noticed how solid victor claver has been playing lately?

Not great, but solid, not making mistakes, hitting the open shot etc.

Leonard did good in his time tonight. If Hickson would cut it out with turn overs and letting Dwight throw him around he would be having a amazing game.

Up 55-53 at the half. We are playing D. Lakers are only in it because Dwight was near lights out at FT line in 2nd quarter before bombing two after hurting his shoulder.

We had it 51-51 and like 3 or 4 possessions where we turned it over or just failed to convert. We had 4 strait points to end the half and looked damn amazing.

Lillard while not shooting great tonight is finding people and not turning the ball over. He is being mindfull of all 9 other people on the court and not getting out of control. Really just amazes me every time I watch him.

If Dwight stops hitting FT's (which history says he will) and we do better in second half with turn overs (usually the case) and don't come out flat in the third (potential problem spot) then we should pull out the rare Staples Center victory.

Leonard with 2 points 2 rebounds 1 assist and 1 block in 7 minutes of action. Would prob played more if not for the 3 fouls. Really need to find someone good at working with bigs when it comes to fouling.

Victor has looked pretty good. Not nesicarily getting stats but he is making it damn hard on Dwight and the Lakers to come down with rebounds. Poking them out and tipping them to LMA/Hickson/Batum and others giving us more of a fighting chance.

Batum giving 100% effort. Getting rebounds, puts backs, tips, ect. Involved in every play on offense and not giving his guy any chance on D.

Mathews unexpectedly started tonight and has been good in his time. Clearly not 100%, maybe not even 80% but when he does not play we are no where near the same team. 60% of Mathews is better then any other option we have at this time. Maybe when Maynor arrives he and Lillard can start in back court but until then we need Mathews.
