I couldn't live without cable. But if I did, yes, baseball season would be "time to sign up for cable"

Baseball is the only reason I NEED cable. Can't wait until they remove the blackout restrictions from MLB.tv.

I just don't care for enough modern TV shows. HD DVR is very nice to have but outside of Giants games, I can find everything else online in very decent quality.

....or buy a la carte shows via iTunes or Amazon if I was really wanting HD quality with minimal hassle (not something I've bothered with yet).

You use Netflix? iTunes TV shows are overpriced. Their prices are like what TV DVDs used to be years ago.

I have access to Netflix but rarely use it. I'm talking about being able to watch a new show the same day it comes out (which I can do no problem online, just usually isn't much better than 480p/DVD quality).

Hulu Plus is a pretty good deal.
