As much as I would love to add a legit PF, I think the only move we make is Hump for Gordon.

I don't think Proky has the patience and eventually steps in and wakes up Billy King and gives him a 3 day supply of 5-Hour Energy to make a deal happen for Smoove....

The only other thing I can see happening is us getting Illyasova, although in my opinion the guy isn't a real long term option next to Lopez. You know BK likes him a lot and with the contract he signed I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucks move him for Humphries smaller overall deal.

The answer is really Millsap or Josh Smith. We can't be sitting around thinking we're gonna be a 2-3 seed make it to the semi's and then call it a successful year.

I'm in no way disagreeing with you I just don't see how our assets will be enough. Multiple teams seem to be interested in both guys.

5% and the trade would have to involve Dwight Howard.

I really dont want to trade Brook Lopez for Dwight Howard. Why do I feel like we're going to get Howard by 3pm Thursday afternoon. Don't trade Lopez!

Doubt anything happens honestly, which is good when you think about it. Do you really want to be stuck paying Smith a max contract? He is far from worth a max deal. Wouldn't even elevate the Nets to a contender. The shrewd approach is to wait, then try in the summer or next season to find a deal for Humphries. Maybe they'll swap Humphries for Gordon, but that's really about it. I don't understand that logic that Prokhorov would demand a deal be done. They just formed the team, they have to gradually make improvements as time moves on.

i really feel like if we dont make a move for one of them now we are not going to get much better of a power forward than we already have.

Even if humps contract is expiring we still would not get a good 4 in return for him so whats the point in using the common nets saying "wait til next season" when we all know it will never get better next season

i really feel like a first round exit is a fail for a year with such high expectations

If the Nets do this I think I will have a boner for the rest of the season!!! Read on......

“The Nets were willing last year to give up Brook Lopez and five first-round picks to get this guy,” Sheridan said. “The Nets have been trying to get this guy for two years … They can get him without giving up Brook. They (can) give up (Kris) Humphries, MarShon Brooks, Tyshawn Taylor, a couple No. 1 picks — and then the one that really makes the deal, and you have to follow European basketball to get this — is they throw in all the European players.”

Sheridan believes that there is a 50-50 chance that Brooklyn lands D12 before Thursday’s deadline.
