Good game. Our offense finally got lit. Though we got away with an EXTREMELY offsides no-call. Duchene even knew it..

But our Defense still needs work. Getting E.J back would be nice....

Our D is awful. Fortunately the offense might be turning it around. We're gonna have to win with lots of goals apparently, and no lead is safe.

Wow, that was a GOOD game. Good time for Jones to launch one into the net. And yet another solid performance by Varlamov. I think he'll be great..

It's nice to see the Avs picking it up a bit. There's still a long way to go but if we can get Landy back and if the D can start playing better we may be in the thick of things.

    Landy is back!

LANDY'S BACK: Gabriel Landeskog will travel with the team to California this weekend & will be in the lineup on Saturday at LA.

Sweet! It'll be great to have him back. Though hopefully it's not rushed. Another Mueller would be hard...

This team is nothing special. Defensively, I want Seth Jones in the Draft. Played against this kid when I was younger. We need defense.

I'm kind of happy for the shortened season, otherwise we would've had to endure this for 82 games.

I miss O'Reilly. Our best two way center. hmmmmm. Management knew our defense sucked.

To be honest, I really dont think I miss O'Reilly. He was good, but in no way worth what he wanted yet.

At this point it looks like a lost season. Hopefully trade away O'Reilly for a good prospect, and maybe a draft pick, and get Seth Jones and another good one. Looks like it'll be another year or two before we're going to be a top team.

Also: Fire Sacco, he will not be the coach of a winning Avalanche team, and his coaching style is not working for us.

IMO the Avs are never gonna be successful until Kroenke sports opens the wallet. At least show you want to win by spending. I realize they have young guys to sign in the future but that doesn't mean you have to barely be over the cap floor.

As much as that would be helpful, Kroenke will never open the wallet. The teams he owns never have been big spenders. Hell, look at Arsenal, a historically top team and big money maker in the EPL for soccer. He's the majority owner, yet he wont open up the bank to allow them to bring in some real big guys. Unlike the Glazzers with ManU or whoever owns the Dodgers, he doesn't quite understand that winning brings in more money.

And until that philosophy breaks into his skull, it wont happen.

You can't say that though. How many years did he pay the luxury tax for the Nuggets? We need a GM that can get him to spend.
