    Say brehs...Castro's upside

    Keith Law's scouting report on Castro (right before Castro's rookie major league season) was that he has the swing/tools to hit for power, just very young relative to all the levels he's played at. Law projected he could eventually be a 30 ding-dong kind of force.

    Are you still confident that Castro will hit for more power, or are we starting to see his ceiling given that he has almost 2000 major league PAs at this point?

    The dude is 22....most dont hit their baseball prime till 26 or 27 so yeah he'll gain some power

    seeming that he has gained more and more pop each year I don't see why he can't be relied on as a 20/20 guy for the best portions of his career.

    I don't think he's going anywhere for a while nor do I worry about a 22 year old with his skill set but he's going to have to be a 25 HR shorstop in his prime and continue to play the position at least as well as he does now if he's going to grow into his contract.

    A 9 million dollar SS is not going to have to put up 25 HRs to be worth 9 million. He could be the same player he was in 2012 for the next 6 years and he's worth the contract pretty easily. He won't make 9 million until 2017.
