    Charles Woodson to Seattle?

Saw this on mynorthwest. Apparently Sherman tweeted to CW that he should come to Seattle.

I feel like he could really, really help out the whole secondary and especially Guy, Jeron Johnson, Maxwell, Lane. Plus I assume he'd be a solid nickel and maybe even play a little safety in some packages

Yeah, you nailed it. Did you watch the Brock and Salk video? Brock highlighted the ideas of him being our nickel and occasional third safety.

    Yes please. Absolutely.

Jason Collins claims he is the first openly gay NBA player despite the fact we witnessed the entire league bend the Lakers over all season.

And we could use that. But how much is this going to be? He said he wants to play for a contender (which we now are).

Don't like it sorry guys. My other half is a HUGE Packers fan so I am forced to watch them (on Seahawks commercials haha).... He just isn't going to be the value needed and the price he is going to demand. His range is gone, if your talking about paying an aged safety probably $ 4-6 million a year (MINIMUM) based on high football intelligence then I say hire him as a secondary coach and all of sudden you save half that salary and it doesnt count against the cap.... Im sorry I just dont see the fit guys.

This tells it all. 2 year, $10 million with an option for a 3rd, might get it done. Like Brock said, you add him, and one or two young pass rushers, this defense is set. Woodson, a pass rushing DT and DE and a LB, I don't think anyone can touch this defense. Woodson can add even more takeaways to the defense which really will help the offense even more. We were putting up a ton of points at the end of the year. It could only go up with more possessions.

I would love him in the Nickel in a limited role replacing Trufant yea we got Lane but he is better on the outside.

I would welcome Woodson here to give the younger players a veteran guy to turn to for the calls in the secondary. CW is still in pretty good shape the guy can still fly all over the middle of the field and make plays. Should come on the cheap

Am I the only one that thinks this deal is absurd? How is an old CB worth that much money playing a backup roll/nickle package?

Sorry. No. If he wants to come here it's on a deal, and it's because he wants a championship not because he wants a big check. If he wants to play here great. He's a hall of famer, but he's ancient in age at the position he plays.

There's not a single player I would pay that much money to play nickle corner for us.

The problem with Sandcastle is that he can't tackle... never could.
