Hey... Is LeBron better than Jordan???

Not a chance in this world but it sure is being brought up a lot lately... I've already expressed my take elsewhere but I would like to share this article for y'all to enjoy. It includes a video of Stern acknowledging Jordan's 50th birthday.

I would sum it up for y'all but I think it is worth the read on it's own...

I've been traveling for the past four months, so I guess I'm not really swept by the whole bombardment of claims made my twitter, espn, facebook, etc. The talk is premature. We'll have to compare careers after they're over.

"LeBron, if he stays healthy and keeps playing for contending teams, could conceivably dominate his era and win enough championships to force a legitimate comparative conversation down the line. Conceivably."

He's playing at the closest level to Jordan as we've ever seen. I would put him no lower than #2 but I seem to value titles less than others.

I value titles and stats less than everyone else and I still have Michael Jordan as number 1...

Kobe has played the closest to Jordan's level. Jordan's level was winning and playing at a high level. Lebron has played at a high level but he's only won once and lost twice. It was only when Lebron left one team to join two other current stars where he began to take off. That's not how Jordan and Kobe did it.

You need a strong supporting cast to win anything. Kobe couldn't do it my himself, Lebron couldn't, and Jordan couldn't. It's stupid to dock someone for that.

He'll need more longevity to make any sort of comparisons like this, but as far as pure talent and overall game Lebron is #2 all time IMO and when it's all said and done might have a chance to surpass Jordan.

If LBJ continues on this trajectory and doesn't have any serious injuries, he'll be the best player ever. It's still too early for any career comparisons though.

But Lebron is only in his 2nd Jordan-Esq season.

Here's another article on the subject thanks to JB

He feels it's even better than the Wilbon one highlighting the HCA difference that Jordan capitalized on (typical JB) but I personally didn't enjoy the little bit I've read...
