    Barnes, Curry, Thompson?

Each of these guy's have enormous trade stock around the league right now.

There is a possibility that one of these guys could be moved within the next several years.

Which guy(s) should we build around?

If you've been in this forum any longer than a year then you know that Curry is my favorite player and I've defended this guy since we've drafted him.

Now with that being said, I think Thomspon and Barnes could end up being extremely tough players to guard AND to score against.

Their length, ability to score, handle the ball, start in their rookie seasons and accompish things..

all of these require guys with winning mentalities. I think Curry is a winner as well, but if I had to trade one of them,

it'd have to be Curry only because he has the most value, and Barnes and Thompson create greater mismatches on both ends at their positions.

I'd like to keep all 3, but if I had to ditch one...it'd have to be Klay.

    Why Klay?

Dude for the future, just imagine this team with a talented, prototypical PG, plus a pick or something like that for Curry.

This would maximize Thompsons potential, and would allow more easy shots for Barnes..

Yeah, I could imagine a Rajon Rondo type player next to Thompson. But as I stated, I would get rid of Klay first before Curry. Curry has franchise tag now. Klay, in my opinion, can only shoot still. He still has lots to polish, namely penetration and rebounding for a 2 guard. I'd want a Demarr Derozan type player out of Klay, who is also a knock down shooter. Unfortunately, Klay doesn't have that killer instinct and dunk mentality that Derozan has. and IIRC, Derozan is a freak athlete, where as Klay is not.

It's bad enough that Klay isn't athletic, but worse that Curry isn't either, although they are both very skilled respectively. Just my two cents though, I want an explosive two guard who is a freak athlete with a jumper than a skilled player who shoots only.

I would build around Curry & Barnes. Hopefully in the next year or two there is a superstar that demands a trade, and we could make a package centered around Thompson and picks.

I get all of that. I just don't know why you're limiting Thomson to just being a shooter. Using the infamous FG% he couldn't average almost 17 a game as a spot up shooter. He's shown penetration ability, I've watched every game but 2

I'm not limiting Klay to just shooting...but to be honest, that's pretty much his bread and butter at this stage in his career. As I have mentioned, he needs to polish his penetration and rebounding game for a two guard. I'm not saying he can't penetrate, because i've seen him do some nifty drives to the basket. But at this point it's not polished. It's the same as when we had Morrow. We knew he could shoot, and he was showing glimpses of being able to penetrate.

Curry's contract makes it possible to keep all three of these guys.

Gets to the rim 10 percent of the time and finishes at a .545 percent of the time. Team rebounds better with him on the floor. Reason is because he is great at boxing out and usually just gets his hand on the ball to make sure his team gets it. Much like Green who also has low rebounding numbers per game.

lol don't compare morrow to klay. just lol
