This team is literally playing .500 ball. The hot, championship-like start is schewing everyone's view on this team.

Some fans say others 'overreact' at losses. But the truth is were 14-13, a shade above .500 since mid-December.

Melo and Chandler are cornerstones for different reasons, but people need to wake up on this team. The defensive intensity just isn't there and the return of Amare (who has done well) has killed Chandlers offensive game.

Personally, I think we have some of the guys we need. Melo, Chandler, JR off the bench, Novak as a specialist.

But this team needs a major deal if we want any shot of beating the Heat in Carmelo's prime. What it would take, who knows. But a guy like Kevin Love would be perfect for spacing on offense and rebounding.

This team needs to make a trade, we are too old at the point guard position. This team is no where near a contender, if you want to watch a contender watch the Clippers play tonight, they are young, athletic, deep and have a point guard that is smart as %^&*(. and then when their backup point guard comes off the bench he is fast as hell as blows by opposing players. Our point guards come off the bench and try to take stand still 18 foot and out shots. Magic said it, this team is getting worse while other teams are getting better. This team is to emotional and does not have any smart basketball players. Sorry Kidd is smart but he is 40 so he body cannot backup his intelligence. As far as I am concerned everyone on this team should be on the trade block except Melo. With this team as is, presently constructed we are never going to win a championship or even come out of the east. Same reoccurring theme any team with a good point guard is going to beat us and the Bulls do not even have a good point guard and they beat us twice. I do not see us beating Toronto at all this year because it is obvious that Rudy Gay can nullify Carmelo then it is the rest of our team vs the rest of their team, their team is younger and more athletic, just better. Washington is better, they have a guard that can breakdown the defense, a center that can actually shoot and has a low post game, a three point shooter and people who can actually make mid range shots, did you see how Philly dismantled us. This team is tired and we still have 30 something games left. I can see us winning 45 games if we play Detroit 12 more times. My thing is if you cannot compete for a championship why keep these players. Toronto on a back to back, had to travel while we rested in our home court and they still beat us and they are a sub 500 team. This season is a wrap as far as trying to win a championship, if I am Carmelo I say %^&*( it and try and get the scoring title because this team is a pretender. I cannot wait to play Miami now that Dwayne Wade is healthy and that giant has actually awakened.

We've been playing mediocre for a while now. Part of it is on the players but a big reason for this funk we've been in is the coach.

1)He's playing unproductive players big minutes
2)Hasnt figured out his rotations
3)Team D not good (schemes are flawed e.g. switching C's on PG's regularly and vice versa)
4)Iso heavy on offense
5)Starters coming out slow for a month now, we need a major shakeup.
6)If 3's arent dropping have no inside game to counter it (cant score in the paint)
7)Not playing smart basketball
8)Has to put his players in best position to succeed. Not happening right now.

There are a lot of other things but those are the glaring issues with our team right now. Its on Woody to make it work. Players are responsible as well but Woody is main culprit.

It's very important our team keeps the cap alive for 2015 and doesn't do any longer than two year deals this offseason. They have an opportunity to clean house if this doesn't work.

I was going to say get Milsap and Ridnour if you can but I have not watched them play enough to know if Milsap truly has an inside game and can rebound and Ridnour is an actual good shooter (heaven knows we do not need streaky) we need consistent.
