considering mets will have money to spend next year

i dont see why this can't happen... trade synengaard, duda, daniel murphy, wilmer flores, and mejia to the dodges for dee gordon and andre ethier; move gordon or tejada to second. then sign jacoby ellsbury in the offseason.

If they really have money next year they will sign Ellsbury or Gomez and Pence.

Look for them to also add a young outfielder for Santana or Marcum depending how well they are pitching by June.

Lol ew. What a terrible trade for us considering we could keep our good prospects and just spend some money. That's too much for Ethier anyway considering it's likely he's already had his best season, and Gordon can run but can't hit.

Yea I agree plus we have enough lefties and adding ellsbury and ethier would be 2 more. I would sign ellsbury and pence he can be that right handed power we need

    C-d'Arnaud
    1B-Davis
    2B-Murphy
    SS-Tejada
    3B-Wright
    LF-Flores
    CF-Ellsbury
    RF-Pence

    Imagine?

As for that trade, it's terrible. Would rather keep Syndergaard.

With our starting rotation it would be amazing.

Maybe roids, but I don't think so because it's not like it was a contract year. I think he was just fully healthy and lived up to his tools.

Now that 2013 is his contract year...what will happen? I don't know. He's still a solid player if he stays healthy, and worth signing at an "investment-level" price.

I kind of miss these type of threads, and thanks to Stuna and his lineup. These type of threads always need a lineup. And his just captured the mood just perfectly.

Now all we need are some outlandish predictions with RBIs.
    We need more RBIs.

And a "Make it happen Omar!"

If he has a good year, I'd give him a BJ Upton type contract. Seems fair and he fits us perfectly.

Unless someone has a monster year, I say Gomez and Ellisbury for next year. I think our pitching is in good shape, and have we tried flores at 2nd base?
