    Knicks interested in Amundson

    Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS
Louis Amundson, released by Timberwolves, has cleared waivers and is drawing interest from several teams needing frontcourt help.
    Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS
Among teams that have internally discussed Amundson are the Lakers, Knicks and Sixers, source says.

Lakers and Sixers have roster spot, but have shown no inclination to use it. Knicks would have to clear a spot to sign the 6-9 Amundson.
wouldn't be a bad pickup, but who would be on the way out?

if we do a 2 for 1 trade like Shump & Camby for AAA or Reddick then yes that opens up a spot to sign Lou. And right now Lou is better than an always injured Camby anyway... so we'd upgrade at SG and at backup C.

    just throwing ideas out there...

Can we trade balkmans exp...with a player? And cut someone ? I promise you it won't be white..that'll be very bad PR. Him representing the knicks in the dunk contest and all..
it has to be one of three ..sheed or thomas or brewer... because copeland is a good trade piece so I dont see them cutting him..
And dont be fooled prigs isn't untouchable either...

I think Afflalo is better than reddick, just having a bit of a down year, but he was great for DEN the previous 2 years, he's also much better on defense, bigger... and he's signed for 3 more years at $7m per... Reddick will be a FA and he's going to cost at least $8m for 4 years.

Balkman was waived so we can't do anything with his contract.

Id get rid of Camby. Plantar fasicitis is a PITA and there isnt any guarantee that he is gonna be used for a significant minutes anyway when he returns.

Knicks will forever be linked to every player who becomes available, its just way to easy to say Knicks have interest, or a source said, blah blah blah........

    till the next player.......
