    2013 NFL Draft Predictions

I'm not asking you to predict player and slot but I'll give you an example of what I'm looking for.

I predict in fact at this point I actually guarantee the Packers will take a Defensive Linemen in the 1st or 2nd round. I predict however, that they will wait until the 2nd round because I believe this years Dlinemen class is so deep you can still find a great value for the position.

    Give me some of yours.

    PSD Dynasty League Team:

    QB: Colin Kaepernick, Jay Cutler
WR: A.J. Green, Mike Williams (TB), Cecil Shorts, DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Wallace, Da'Rick Rogers, Keenan Allen, AJ Jenkins
RB: Darren McFadden, David Wilson, Eddie Lacy, Johnathan Franklin
    TE: Martellus Bennett, Tony Gonzalez
    DL:
    LB: Luke Kuechly
    DB:

I predict we will draft a WR and RB somewhere in the first 4 rounds.

I predict TT trades out of the first round and adds another second this year and a first next year.

I predict that this is finally the year Thompson uses his first round draft pick on a safety. If we don't have a first round pick, our first pick.

I predict a kicker is selected in 6th or 7th.
I predict a quarterback is selected in round 4 or 5.
I predict no running back is selected.
I predict a WR is selected in round two or three.

So are you predicting we pick a RB up in FA? Cause there is no way we go into next season with the same RB's we have now.

Not in free agency as you're referring to it. Look at Thompson's history with drafting running backs and going after big name running backs. He doesn't put a very high grade on them. I would say the Packers will either sign a low-tier free agent during the initial free agency rush, or he will sign a veteran that wasn't picked up (like Benson this past year) or he will sign an undrafted rookie.

I just don't see it. It is blatantly obvious that we need a true RB. We cannot keep going on with mediocre RB's year in and year out. Just cause there is some sort of track record that you are referring to doesn't mean things won't change. I think MM and TT see now that we need a true RB. If we go into next season with the same RB's and some UDFA im going to be livid. But hey it is your prediction.

I don't know where people get this myth from. After Ahman Green left, we spent a second rounder on Brandon Jackson. He was supposed to be the next big thing for us, but then Ryan Grant happened. Once he has basically done and we realize Jackson wasn't great, we spent a third rounder on Alex Green. We may or may not have given up on him yet, but I can't agree with the sentiment that we don't put a value on that position. Its more been that we just haven't been very successful in drafting RBs.

I'll go ahead and make a bold prediction. That prediction is that someone falls further than expected, and we trade up into like the 18 range to take a guy like that.

Perhaps, but I'm pretty sure that Thompson rates running backs lower than other teams. We desperately needed a running back for a long time, and yet Thompson has passed on backs projected to go before we picked. And I don't think there's a running back in this entire draft that will be rated as being worth the 15-20 range in the first round.

Call me crazy, but I think we splash into the FA pool this year and go after a LT type that can also play guard for you. I think TT will realize that we are nothing with Aaron on his backside. And we get Finley out of town. So I honestly think TT goes safety and TE, first and second, in either order in this draft.

I don't know bro. There's a rumor going around that the Packers are really high on DJ Fluker and the general idea is that they'd go into training camp next year with the potential line up looking a lot different then it did this year.

Sherrod > Bulaga (A scout that I trust stated Bulaga would be an all pro Guard) > EDS (Unless we draft someone higher) > Sitton > Fluker

With Lang as depth for LG / RT

I'd be fine with that. I think Fluker has the potential of being a all pro RT, and I agree with you on Bulaga. I honestly think Bulaga has enough to play LT, Sherrod maybe the more natural at it. I've already talked about this whole proposal in a different message. This would give us some flexability all the way thru camp and see how Sherrod pans out. I think Newhouse would make the team as a backup, but Lang would probably be on the trading block at some point and time.

I agree on Ted not putting as much stock in the RB position as he does others.. Harris loos like the real deal and he will get the early nod, but competition is needed.. Since we probably wont get a big time back in FA, we will see another late round pick on a back.
