    Eagles Resign QB Mike Vick

    To a 1 year deal

    link coming soon

    By Adam Schefter | ESPN
The Philadelphia Eagles re-signed Michael Vick on Monday to a one-year deal for the 2013 season, league sources said.

This contract replaces the one Vick had signed and he now is scheduled to be a free agent after next season.

But this season he will quarterback new coach Chip Kelly's offense.

Biggest off-season QB domino already has fallen: Eagles have re-signed Michael Vick to a one-year deal for 2013 season.

Ugh... Press conference at 1, that was fast. Can't wait to see how Chip Kelly spins this.

Put me in the Eagles fans camp that didn't want Vick to return. I'm tired of having a QB who either A) Gets on concussion, B) Cracks a rib, C) Fumbles the ball away, or D) Throws an interception on literally every play.

Don't see how he's going to be able to survive a pistol type offense like a Wilson, RG3, or Kaepernick if he gets injured every time he takes a hit.

most thought he was out. im happy he gets a second chance in philly under chip kellys offense. its going to be something interesting to watch with vick running chip kellys offense. it could work wonders. it could fail miserably. either way im watching and hope vick succeeds. but not to the point where they knock my cowboys out of the playoffs

It's the only move that makes sense. He should be a perfect fit under Kelly.

Vick will be the Vick we saw after McNabb left. Mark my words.

It also tells me they don't believe any QB is worth taking in the first round. If you need a QB, this appears to have been the worst year to nose dive.

I was in the anti Vick camp as a Jet fan, so this move is cool with me

I still do not think he will start ... This is a win all around for everyone ... Birds save some big money on this deal from what I heard ... Vick gets to save as little face as he can by taking less money and staying "loyal" to his team and at the end of it all he goes unrestricted next year and is long gone ...

I hope Vick does damage but the common misconception about Chip is he MUST have a QB that can run ... Simply not true ...

    We shall see

It's definitely more about a lack of any suitable alternative than "Vick thriving in the Chip Kelly offense" kool-aid talk.

Why they would want to keep him is beyond me.....I can now see Ried wanting Foles and Kelly drafting his guy to sit a year and learn, kind of makes sence now.

It's a little of both I think, otherwise they would have stuck with Foles.

True. I'm just exhausted of Vick, but this is a clear signal of the type of offense that Chip intends to run now. And I was never a believer in Foles.

PLus you have to remember that he gets hurt the most from the blind sided pocket hits he takes. In a pistol style game, he will be running and bracing with the ball more, thus limiting his defenseless exposure and his injuries. Plus 4 starting lineman are coming back including 1 Jason Peters.

For Vick's sake, I hope that offensive line is drastically better. If it is, I think he'll have a very good season.
