    Seattle NHL team names

A bunch of fans suggested some NHL team names in case a franchise moves to Seattle in the near future. As always is the case, many of the names sound ridiculous when you first hear them. What you have to realize is that even teams that have been in existence for decades have some pretty goofy names.

Ducks, Wild, Devils, Rays, Stars, Angels, Browns etc...

Personally I like Kraken, Pilots, Bombers, Stealth and Thunderbirds.

Isn't there already a WHL team with this name??? what would the process be for them to change their name? I do like that though, for an NHL team the "Seattle Thunderbirds". I also like Seattle Stealth (pretty sick) The Seattle Kraken (pretty sick too). i'm sure they'll come up with something (if a team goes there)

i really hope Seattle gets a team in the next 5-7 years, the earlier the better i might add. Seattle fans are crazy about their sports. (other than baseball but they don't count b/c they've sucked for ever ) obviously its well known about the football team, and their MLS team draws what? 64,000 on average or some really high number (especially for soccer) i think Seattle would embrace a team and go NUTS. One things for sure, what ever their name is going to be, they have to be Blue/Green like the other teams.

I like the airplane based names being that Boeing is huge in Seattle. Wouldn't it be a little weird with the Jets already being a team?

The Seattle Thunderbirds would be cool but as someone pointed out that is currently the name of a WHL team.
