Pau Gasol out for at least a month?

Pau Gasol, who felt a "pop" in his right foot in Tuesday's win over the Nets, could be out at least a month if the MRI reveals that he tore his plantar fascia.

He'll undergo an MRI on Wednesday in Boston. Gasol has been battling plantar fasciitis all season, and tearing the plantar fascia would put him out of commission for about a month or so. There are three degrees of tears, and given Gasol left the arena on crutches, it doesn't look like we're going to see him on the floor at any point soon. Earl Clark and Metta World Peace are locked in as must-own, must-start players, while Antawn Jamison, who played 37 minutes on Tuesday, will also see extended run.

If it is his plantar fascia, and he did hear a pop, then he is certainly in some trouble. It doesn't take forever to heal, but that means it's certainly past the point of your basic fasciitis.

Better hope Dwight is back soon, and that his injuries don't linger too much.
I no longer care about anything here except for the Entertainment Forum, which sucks; the Music forum, which sucks; and the Magic forum, which does NOT suck.

    Love y'all!

    Except for all of y'all.

I dont mind just Dwight being out, I dont mind just Gasol being out, its not that big a deal that Hill is out for the year, but they cant all be out at the same time. We already saw how that worked out. An 0-5 stretch that caused them to go 8 games below 500. If that happens again they might as well start looking to next year.

That's a huge loss, especially with losing Jordan Hill for the rest of the season and now Howard having shoulder issues and a back that's still healing/getting stronger.

4 to 6 weeks? He better hope he didn't fracture anything. Joakim Noah is battling fascitis for our club and it's a tough injury to fully heal from, and he doesn't have a tear. If Gasol's is torn, it'll take him a long while to get over it.

The Lakers can't afford these injuries right now with them attempting to get into the playoff chase. Maybe D'Antoni will choose to play small now that Steve Blake is back?
