    All things Ben Scrivens

Is it just me? Or has Scrivens looked out of sorts and all over the place so far? I had not seen him play with the Marlies this year so I'm wondering if this is just a blip in the radar, is he still adjusting to the new goalie coach, or is there general cause for concern that we won't be able to trust him in these back to back situations? If i'm the only one I'll close the thread, but since he's been playing all year I'd be interested to see what people think because Reimer is already a step ahead of him.

He's struggled. But this was his first start in 6 games. He won the game; made key saves. Not a bad night.

Btw you can't close a thread on your own.

He's looked shaky at best. The Caps could have easily scored another couple goals. How many times did the puck sneak through and Holzer bailed him out? He's a backup, I don't expect the moon.

I got a kick out of it the other night when he lost his glove on the bench and it fell on to the ice.

Yea but with the condensed schedule and all the back to backs, you have to play both goalies to keep your starter fresh. He gives me the same feeling Andrew Raycroft and Vesa Toskala gave me in the sense that every shot seems to cause a problem.

We need better goaltenders if we're ever going to be good.

Scouting has changed so much that it's rare for a player to go undrafted and become an impact player. There are a few, but for every Andy McDonald there are more Christian Hansons and Brayden Irwins.
