The incident occurred with 1:43 remaining in the 2nd period, of the Lakers' 98-97 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, Feb. 3 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
World Peace will serve his suspension tonight when the Lakers visit the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.
Maybe a tech but I dont think he shoulda been suspended

Sucks that MWP really is on such a short leash by the NBA. If he does ANYTHING physical like this, he will continue to get suspended. To be honest if it wasn't bad enough for him to get kicked out of the game, he should not have received a suspension.

Okay I just rewatched it and I retract my statement, lol he should be suspended.
I never saw the punch during the broadcast so this makes sense. Jeez Metta hahaha

With Howard still out, the Lakers will probably slide Kobe up to the 3 and start either Meeks or Morris at the 2. There is also a slight chance that D'Antoni will bring Ebanks out of mothballs to 'cover' some minutes off the bench and/or Blake may play more minutes overall [ mainly, more at the 2 ] to help in the 'adjustment' of the rotation.
