Jaroslav Halak

Blues coach Ken Hitchcock wants to play it safe with Jaroslav Halak's minor groin muscle strain.
So the team placed Halak on injured reserve and placed a call for Peoria goaltender Jake Allen, who will join the team in time for Monday's practice.
Halak suffered the injury in Friday night's loss at Detroit. Hitchcock hopes he will be ready to practice Friday after sitting out two games. Brian Elliott will start in his absence.
