Not even going to bother for two reasons:

1.) This will most likely turn into a homer thread

2.) See number 1 as to why I won't answer, even though I'd be right

Thank you Mo! We will forever be grateful for your service to our team not only as a player, but as a person. A living legend. You will forever be in our hearts, and forever be the greatest of all time. Now go get them one last time, Sandman!

    It's Mike Trout.

But, this is voting for something in baseball, so it is going to somehow end up being Miguel Cabrera, even though he's not in it.

Which is hilarious, by the way.

    I bet Posey wins this.

But it's a fan vote about something kind of silly. So does it matter ?

I don't think Trout is the face of baseball. Derek Jeter is more the face of baseball than he is. The face of baseball isn't about who's best, it's about who is the guy that you think of when someone says "baseball". Trout has one great year under his belt, but it didn't make him the face of baseball IMO. In America more people can probably identify Harper than Trout still. Verlander probably would be the guy I chose, but Jeter would be top 5 even though he is fairly close to retirement.

It's Derek Jeter until he retires, Verlander is the only other guy with a shot

As much as I hate to say it, it is going to be Jeter. More Yankees fans=more votes.
