Here are my needs for the offseason...

    Starting caliber ILB
    Starting caliber FS
    Starting caliber DT/NT
LT of the future(I'd try to re-sign Mckinnie for a year or 2)
Nickel rush LB(I think Kruger is gonna get a huge pay day elsewhere)
WR?(Sort of leaning towards giving the guys we have another year of development)
3rd TE(Blocker, can find in draft)
Nickel LB(Cover LB, can find in the draft)
    3rd string/practice squad QB(Late rd draft pick)

As far as free agency our whole offseason hinges on getting Joe's extension done before the deadline next month. I think he's exceeded the point where you can use the regular tag on him so we'll have to use the exclusive tag(20 million plus). If we have to do that say goodbye to every FA essentially. If we can get the Joe deal done and get his first year cap # to about 5 to 8 million then we have some breathing room.

I'd restructure and extend Jacoby Jones, Anquan Boldin and Michael Oher to decrease their cap #numbers. Nothing crazy, maybe another year or 2 for all of them. I think Suggs, Ngata and Yanda are restructure canidates but i'd try to avoid it as much as possible because too much of that can get you into trouble. The Ravens havent dont much of it in the past. Releasing Bobbie Williams would save another 1.2 million as well, hopefully Birk retires, that would save another 2.05, i really think Gino is ready at C and having what i consider one of the best if not the best guard tandem in the NFL in KO and Yanda to help him will be great for him.

Who we'll lose- Cary Williams, Paul Kruger, Ed Reed(?)

Who to resign- I dont think Ellerbe will command more then 4 to 5 million per, i think we get that done. I'd also bring back Mckinnie if they can get him for a decent number then draft his heir apparent.

I'll work on a mock draft

I like Minter a lot, wish he was a little better in coverage, we'll see how he tests but he's fast enough to get sideline to sideline and he hits like a ton of bricks.

QB: We'll resign Flacco, basically to whatever he wants. And I love me some Tyrod as backup. No change expected.

RB: Same as QB, maybe Leach gets cut due to his high cap #, but I like the stable we have (Rice, Pierce, Rainey, Allen).

WR: I can't see us cutting Q, we have to extend him and Jones to spread their money along and lower their cap figures. Q-Jones-Smith-Draft Pick (i'll get into the draft later)- Doss is more than suitable to me.

TE: Both TEs are RFAs, if I'm not mistaken. Slap same round of Dickson and a 2nd rounder on Pitta. Bajema is fine as a blocker. Can only really see movement if some of our RFA is signed.

OL: This is where I'm the most unsure. It played so well when it mattered most. The guards are set. Birk may retire, but I like what we have in Gradkowski. I think McKinnie is a UFA and Oher hit a contract escaltor. I think we could survive with them another year, maybe add a developmental LT prospect (Pugh, Wagner).

DL: Ngata and Suggs are likely restructure candidates, hopefully one will do so. We'll still have McPhee, Jones & Cody next year. It's definitely upgradable, but it's still serviceable. Don't see alot of movement here as well.

LB: This is huge. Ray is gone, Kruger is likely out. I don't even think we can afford Ellerbe. McClain is one ILB, I think the other is a draft pick (again, I'll get into that later, but it ain't Te'o). Upshaw is a stud. I don't think we'll miss Krug that much if Upshaw develops more of a pass rush. Even if he doesn't he's fantastic against the run. This will be reworked.

DB: Ed is likely gone too but we get Webb back and Cary Williams is better off elsewhere. I really like the CB group of Webb, Smith, Graham and Brown. Pollard is a beast, but FS is a huge need, yet also historically very replaceable.

Kruger, Reed, Williams, Ellerbe out. Q, Jones, McKinnie coming back. No big FA moves, typical bargain buys (Graham, Jones, Pollard).

    Needs:
ILB, FS, Edge Threat, LT, WR

So far in my draft process, I'm much more of a fan of Arthur Brown.

I agree, im worried about his size a little but i think he has the skills and the mentality to handle himself in a 34. He's just a really good football player, instantly becoming our best cover LB.

Like I said, I'm not far in the process. But guys I like: Minter, Brown, Khaseem Greene & AJ Klein. Brown and Greene are smaller than ideal, but they would walk into the team and instantly be our best coverage backer.

    I can't say I'm that fond Ogletree.

I think Kruger & Cary are gone.

I think we'll get a long-term deal done with Flacco by the deadline which will allow us to slap the tag on Ellerbe or Reed.

I think we'll be able to retain Ellerbe & Reed though. I think with us winning the Super Bowl, I just can't see Ed leaving because I think Steve & Ozzie will find some room to bring him back.

I think Q, Jacoby, Vonta, Suggs, Ngata, Yanda are all re-structure candidates. I just don't see it being viable at all to out-right release Q or Vonta. Re-structuring/extensions can be tricky as it can also ruin future plans.

I agree with the sentiments above though.

If we are able to extend/restructure Q/Jacoby, I think our draft needs go as:
    1) ILB
    2a/2b) FS/LT
    4) 5-tech
    5) Pass Rush specialist

Damn you guys move fast. I was thinking that we would celebrate the win for at least 24 hours before I made one of these threads haha . This is an exciting off season though, can't wait to hear goodell call us the defending champions when we draft haha

Elam reminds me of a small-ish SS though. I don't know if I envision him as a FS.

I really like Eric Reid, Baccari Rambo (I think his potential is beautiful), and if we want a more ball-hawk center field type FS, Phillip Thomas from Fresno St. would fit that mold.
