$7 mil total
Clark is looking pretty good
Wait until he learns the game
three TO's in the last four possesions
crooner is right. we will either over pay for clark or lose him. But really, i dont expect Clark to take a discount for us, hes gotta get paid too and needs to take advantage of an opportunity to get himself paid bc there may not be many chances for him to get a big or long contract. hell for the effort he puts in every game why shouldnt he get paid?
25 year old, 6-10, athletic, versatile, can play the 3 or the 4, defend and shoot, and is a solid handle away from being a stud.
Anybody thinks he is gonna get less than 5 mil a year is delusional. An it will most likely be in the 7-8 range. Espiecaly if we make the playoffs and he show out.
it is fun to watch all the amateurs speculate on salaries...
earl clark is gonna get more than the mle LMFAO
guys like OJ Mayo got $4 million last offseason
Does anyone actually think Earl Clark is better than OJ Mayo... not to mention that SG's are in greater demand
Delusional Laker fans with more ignorant analysis

he'll probably get roughly what mayo got
4 million per for maybe 2 or 3 yrs
with the repeater tax kicking in next year, clark isn't exactly one of the guys other teams will be lining up and be drooling for to get
Ze Gratest Supermod de PSD
WOW these opinions are all over the place, which shows how little some people know.
What is the need to speculate about this now? The Trade deadline has not even passed to see what the team payroll structure will be like for sure.
Are the Lakers POSITIVE Jordan Hill will be healthy?
Will Gasol be traded or even Amnestied between now and July?
Will Howard re-sign with LA in the offseason or WALK?
There are soooo many real issues that have to be decided WELL before anyone can make an intelligent decision about how Much Clark will be offered and or how much he is "worth" to the Lakers.
Guesses now are trying to shoot at a moving target, blindfolded.
Hey I'll be your friend now that you don't suck...
Why would Clark want to go anywhere else? The Lakers gave him his chance, he may not even be this good anywhere else (shannon brown, traver ariza) so if he's smart, he'll stay.
and yes we have his birds, we'd only not have his birds if we got him via FA but he was traded, we can offer him the full max if we wanted but i think he gets about 3-4 for 2-3 years.
Just fact that you keep talking about who he is better than, kinda proves your the one who's clueless. If you new what you were talking about then you would know the question is not how good he is, but how good a team thinks he CAN be.
Teams pay more for height and potential. Oj mayo is not 6-10 nor does he have much room to grow he kind is what he is at this point. That was a really silly comparison. Who's the last young guy 6-10 plus with talent and potential whi didnt get more than they were worth?
McGee
Anderson
Big baby
Humphries
Bass
Green
Asik
The list goes on and on. If he continues to play like this someone will pay him based on how good they THINK he CAN be.
But it's not just based on current production. They also look at things like athletic ability and skill set. Because that gives you a glimpse into their potential. How tall his he, how long, how quick, how agile, can he jump, Can they guard multiple positions, can spread the floor with good outside shooting , cant they run the floor.....etc.
It should be clear to anyone with eyes Clark has the potential to be much better than his current production. An he has a very unique skill set, for his size and athleticism. Not many guys like him, which make him even more appealing. If you look at all the players that got paid of potential just this offseason. It's easy to think someone will over pay clark thinking he can be a stud.
