i agree with you. I feel that Peterson should have won the mvp but when Chris Johnson had a better season (set the single season yards from scrimmage record, had more tds and more receiveing yards) and did not even get any votes is completely wrong.

Neither can I, but IMO, there's still an issue in the MVP voting process. Manning STILL had almost 20 votes, yet Aaron Rodgers (who should've been the clear-cut QB option in the MVP race) had ZERO.

This entire MVP voting reminds me of this:

I never understood why people say only QB's can win the award. It was never true. There just haven't been any performances good enough since LT in 2006, until now. Dominate like AP, Faulk and LT and a RB can win. We just went through a drought of HOF caliber backs.

rodgers team regressed while peytons improved form last year though. stats aren't everything its value to the team. now i know the bar was set way high for green bay from last year, but still that is taken into account. rodgers had the better season in my opinion as well, but im ok with peyton getting votes and honestly seocnd place doesn't amtter if they got it right which they did

Congrats to him, thought Peyton would have gotten it but oh well AD had a great year as well. And no way was Rodgers the clear choice for QB... Check the QBR.

Chris Johnson dominated just as much or more than adrian peterson in 2009 and did not even get a vote. That is the only time that has ever happened. how can you set the single season yards from scrimmage record, run for over 2000 yards, have over 500 yards receiving and more tds than adrian peterson in his mvp year and not get a single vote?

I agree with you, but the Titans were 8-8 that year when they were 13-3 the year before. Right or wrong, clearly the voters factor in team performance.
