Well, since this free agent crop isn't very good I think we need to have a two year plan. I see it as the following:
This offseason-
Sign Calderon to the 2 year with an option deal (7.5M seems to be the going rate)
Extend Monroe
Keep Charlie V and Stuckey to fill the minimum cap
Let Maggette, Maxiel, and Bynum walk
Sign the following on one year contracts:
Beno Udrih/Jamall Tinsley/AJ Price- Backup PG (whoever will do the 1 year deal)
Mike Dunleavy/Dorell Wright- Backup SF
Ronny Turiaf/Branden Wright- Backup PF/C
Trade down in the draft with Atlanta for picks (16/19) and give up one for the Gordon trade
Draft- Glenn Robinson III or Sergey Karasev (SF of the future)
Save as much $$$ as we is allowed by cap rules!!
Next offseason-
Let all the 1 year contract guys walk
Let Charlie V and Stuckey walk
Close to $40M to spend how we please!!
Find a taker for Jerebko unless he starts playing better
Fill in the roster as needed
Keepers:
Calderon
Knight
Drummond
Monroe
English
Singler
Kravtsov
2013 draft pick
2014 draft pick

I see the plan, but only concern is since we aren't a contender or close, signing guys to one year deals will typically require paying a tad more. If for no other reason, I think most guys would:

-We trade both our 2nd rd picks to move up a bit in the 2nd rd(maybe throw in Middleton or?).
-We make the playoffs, then get the "giving up our pick" thing out of the way. We can then be even more flexible with trades in the future.
-We then draft Patrick Young with our only pick.
- After July, we let Maxiell, Bynum and Maggette walk.
-Then try to sign OJ Mayo(4yr/32mil), Earl Clark(3yr/15mil), Darius Morris(2yr/4mil), a total of 15mil spent per. It would probably take more than that though.
-Monroe gets an extention, around 5yrs/50mil$.
That would pretty much use up our cap space(unless we amnesty Villenueva).
- We can then try to move into position to add players next offseason. Through the draft, trades or FA signings. There is this kid Wiggins that I would have to draft in 2014(if he enters), we would have to move into a top three spot in the draft though. We would have the pieces to move up.
2013/2014 roster:
Calderon/Knight/Morris
Mayo/Knight/English
Chandler/Singler/Jerebko
Monroe/C VIll/Young/Jerebko
Drummond/Young/Slava
Again, this is only a sample of what we could possibly do within real parameters. I would hope for a big star, or hitting it in the draft again, but the odds are against it. This would give us a balanced team that is young and had tasted the playoffs. We gain more size, are quicker, slightly better at shooting, better defense(this includes our young players developing as well).
