Thumbs down Game #47: Los Angeles Lakers (20-26) @ Minnesota Timberwolves (17-25)

    ------------

    -------------------

Los Angeles Lakers @ Minnesota Timberwolves
    Friday, February 1st
    6:30pm Pacific Time
    Local Channel: TWC Sportsnet
    National Channel: ESPN

    ---------
The start of their Grammys road trip provided anything but harmony for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Facing their first opportunity to bounce back from a loss since Kobe Bryant turned facilitator and with Dwight Howard injured again, the Lakers try to regroup Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

During its three-game homestand, all finally seemed right for Los Angeles (20-26) in a season plagued by inconsistency and a lack of chemistry despite its star power. The Lakers averaged 106.0 points and shot 52.8 percent while totaling 89 assists in those victories, and Bryant -- third in the league with 28.1 points per game -- had more assists (39) than shots (34) in that span.

    Win or bust.

I'm tired to lose games that we should win.

We SHOULD win against a depleted wolves team.

    We should win this one.
They have a lot of injured players and rubio is like at 60% of what he can do.

Ricky , just stay the **** away from Kobe just in case

Final record would be 40-42. I donít see 40 wins making the playoffs. We know the Lakers tire out on the road quickly and never play worth a darn at altitude. I just think they dug themselves to deep of a whole to climb out of.

It's a sad, sad day when you're not sure if the Los Angeles Lakers can win vs. an injury depleted team in the Minnesota Timberwolves.

    Game prediction... pff! Who knows!

thats 26 games we SHOULD win.

46-36 should get the trick done.

Dwight Howard will miss Friday's game with his shoulder injury, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
It doesn't really come as a surprise with how much pain Howard was in on Wednesday, and the Lakers would be wise to err on the side of caution given the long-term picture. Los Angeles has won 19 straight games against the Timberwolves and will look to make it 20 in a row with Pau Gasol drawing the start at center in place of Howard.
