would milsap get consistent playing time here? I think he will want to go where its not so crowded after being logjammed the last couple of years. If he would come here and backup monroe and drummond and be happy with that then that would be sweet.

Milsap is the sleeper pick up. Has always had a crowded 4 spot down in Utah. Could really turn it up if given more consistent playing time.

Should have prefaced it as more of a general statement rather than who the Pistons should be interested in. Just talking on the free agent class in general. Josh Smith also plays a deal of PF, though. He just is a bit more athletic than Milsap. Josh and Drummond would be out there making Monroe look like he's old and slow with that stiffness.

I'm pretty sure if we were to trade for Gordon it would have to occur during the off-season(if we miss the playoffs we could trade our pick, if we make the playoffs we could trade multiple future picks)...I think picks would be the sticking point.

i dont want josh smith but if we got him we would need to add a lot of shooters and monroe would really need to work on his jump shot as well, smith monroe and drummond will cause things to be crowded and teams to have an easy time playing defense, but our defense would be incredible

The thing about our SF dilemma is that I don't want big stars to fill that spot i.e. Josh Smith. It'll take so many touches away from other guys, the kinds of players I'd want would be the likes of Parsons, Barnes, Leonard, etc. Matching up other young guys with our young guys is the way to go, aka the Oklahoma City Effect. Have a team grow as one.

How funny was it last night to watch indiana tough interior defense rape miami's offense. And Indiana won the game resoundly.

Find shooters somewhere else but build tough defense first
