Totally agree with that in theory. We'll have to see what he does when he's familiar with the offence. Yesterday there was almost no structure to the team, and Gay's involvement was as if he was in more of a wide-open scrimmage. Could have been one of the reasons why the Clippers struggled to defend; they had no idea what was coming at them.

Raptors run a motion offense to utilize the teams quickness & athleticism (which Gay's skill set fits into) free-flowing and unrestricted, it's not a repetitive offense, it's basically run off a bunch of flares & back screens.

The fact the other team had no idea what was coming meant it worked well.

That's a good sign then. I hope he realizes that he is still an integral part of this team(if he is not dealt soon). IMO his defense and basketball IQ is valuable to the Raptors.

If he gets to 18-5-5 with good efficiency next season I'd be happy and he'd IMO be up for All-star considerations.
