I like how my post with the link proving dogs are smarter was just not responded to.

I don't know why anyone would not want to smarter and more affectionate animal, but to each his own I guess.

A large portion of EQ depends on social tendencies. No crap that they're going to score higher on that scale.

It's not making decisions like "Oh, I want to go here!" It's trained to engage the car to drive (sometimes) and put its hands on the wheel. Whoopie.

Many dogs would protect their owners. Some will hide.

Plenty of cats have issues. You'd be surprised how varied the personalities of cats are. Everyone talks about dog personalities...you're kidding yourself if you think cats don't display those traits as well.

EQ isn't measured based on social tendencies. The more social species have larger brains in comparison to their body weight than the less social species. The reason for that is that social settings require more complex thought processes. Dogs are better problem solvers and learn thing quicker than cats.

I also didn't say pets need to be smart this started because you said dogs were dumb with the implication that cats were smarter

Litter box is inside, and it causes the whole house to smell like ****. every cat owner I know insists it doesn't smell, but thats because they are used to it.

Most people don't do that though. most get a litter box. but even if they go out, I still don't like them in the house because I'm allergic and I think it's gross how they go anywhere they want, even the dinner table.

The only time I would ever own a cat is if I had a barn because they can hunt mice and stuff. some dogs hunt them too, but having cats live in the barn is better.
