The Raptors are better after the trade. Their more dynamic, they have a winning player w/ a high upside. Y'all should be drinking brooskies.

raptors got slightly better, like 8th seed at best. to me, Gay is 3rd option at best.
Sacrificing their 2014 cap, giving up ed Davis and not dealing the even less useable Fields will hurt them when they look to rebound from their 2014 playoff sweep to Chicago, Miami or the Knicks.

Stop hating on the raps..... gay looked great in his first game for them .. 20 off the bench ..dunkin ..draining 3s ... this trade made them real fun to watch and you could hear the energy in the stands when gay would touch the ball or score ... I hope they make another splash before the deadline with bargs ...

This trade wasn't really to make the playoffs this year, If they do great but I personally don't think we will. But next season, with another move or two, (Colangelo said he's not done making moves) this team can make some noise. I'm not saying they will be a championship contender, but they could be in the mix as a 4-8 seed in the east next season.

And they have a potentially dominating frontcourt with Drummond, Monroe and shitloads of capspace too.

Still a good game, I'll give the Raptors that.

But it was only 1 game.

    Hack a Drummond, problem solved.

No, but seriously, some Detroit fans are getting a little defensive around here whenever a Raptors related topic comes up.
