As it is very sad to see him retire, I am very happy he isnt taking a stint elsewhere.
One of my all-time favorites, and one of the very best Packers of all time.
It would be awesome if he somehow got an assistant coaching job with GB.

Classy to the end. He could have gotten a big payday with the Vikings but he's a true Packer.

I didn't realize it until I read an article about DD retiring but he was the last guy on the team from the Ron wolf era.

"It was just time, sitting down with the wife and kids," said Driver, who was taking part in a charity event here at Super Bowl XLVII. "I've always said I never want to wear another uniform. I've always said that I owe it to the fans to retire as a Packer.

"I feel like I can still play, but if I can't play for my organization, then I can't play for anyone else. I'm happy with the decision I made."

Wow. Athletes need to take notes on how to actually have some class.

It seems that it might have been his wife and children that told him they didn't want him to play anywhere else. Fans lining up in the cold to get tickets to his retirement announcement shows that he made the correct decision.

"twelve years ago, i signed my first big contract for the green bay packers and i promised you all that i would never wear another uniform," driver said. "so today, we make that official. I keep my promise to you."
