What are you guys thinking of Canada's chances in this weekends clash with Spain? Spain is with out Nadal, Almagro and Ferer. With the tie being held in Vancouver im cautiously optimistic.......I might even say that we are favourites...

Is Ferrer not playing?

Even then, Raonic has trouble against baseline defenders. Spain has a lot of those type of players. If Almagro, Ferrer and Nadal don't play, I say Raonic wins but everyone else loses.

canada was up 2-0 but now its 2-1. Raonic and Dancevic beat Ramos and Granollers respectively. Nester and Popsil lost in doubles in a 5 setter. Raonic should be able to beat Granollers easily but even if he doesnt they still have a chance. Granollers is there best singles players and Dancevic beat him easily, Dancevic should have a good chance against Ramos.

not to get ahead of myself but if canada wins we would face italy (they are up 2-1). but the best thing is we would choose the surface. There is no italian player that can trouble raonic on fast hard courts. but i can us losing the other 2 singles matches easily and the doubles. we need another decent singles/doubles player.

Filip Peliwo (best junior player Canada's probably ever seen) could be good. But then again, the junior level is so far apart. You can be a multi champion as a junior but not be worth anything once you up against the big boys.
