does the notion that the team that got the best player win the trade work in this matter?

Talent wise, its a no brainer. its a win for the Raps. Gay is better than Ed Davis (going forward). Calderon was an expiring so who know what happens after this year.

That spot is filled up one of the hardest positions to fill in the league with premium talent.

No don't you know everything must be thought of negatively.
I mean its impossible to be a fan of a team and be happy of moves they make.
Gay is the best player we've had at the wings since VC left.

Eagles don't get me started on Derozan/Bargnani. i'd have a hard time putting either in the top 100. Gay and Lowry are both around 50 for me. We need a top notch player.... still... to really turn this ship around.
