It's simple really. Suh's one of the NFL's biggest names right now. After the team's terrible offseason and Suh's perceived mental weaknesses on the field, the Lions organization is low hanging fruit. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort and/or reporting skills to go after either to make headlines. Forget Sapp, hell, look at what's said here from some of the dimwits on the main board as proof.

Maybe there is bad blood there and that's why.

I also think Mayhew went to college (Florida St.) with newly acquired Brian Xanders. So that might be the connection for that hiring.......although I still think Xanders is the security blanket in case he messes up
