Knight could play SG in a pinch but not full time. Guys like D Wade, Johnson, etc would just destroy him. He's too damn small.

They must be looking to go after Josh Smith. By having Maggette, Calderon, and Maxiell coming off the books they have the cash to make a max offer to Smith now.
I would personally rather see them resign Calderon and sign JJ Reddick in free agency. Trade Stuckey for Marcus Thornton. Then draft Otto Porter in the 1st round and then Trevor Mbakwe in the 2nd.
Piston roster 2013-14
Knight/Calderon
Thornton/Reddick
Porter/Singler/Jerekbo
Monroe/Charlie V./Mbakwe
Drummond/Kratsov
great depth. Can play inside out with great perimeter shooting. Not sure if this is Dumars plan but it would be mine.
