This makes 3d vet Joe Dumars promised he wouldn't deal--Billups, Hamilton, Prince (whom I advocated trading 2 weeks ago) & did so soon after

    Rip wasn't dealt though.

Plus to be fair, that's pretty much how it works, you can't give away your motives. I didn't even realize he refuted rumors of trading Prince, I thought that was about Stuckey.

yeah demarcus cousins ability to score, rebound, and pass the ball make for an undesirable player. of course you'll mrntion his maturity and ill mention that he's 22, has never been arrested, and plays for the most dysfunctional team in the nba by far. but you're right, no reason to like him.

Ya we'll conveniently avoid the fact that hes a center and shoots like a stuckey

3 years, and still hasn't improved

Monroe can do all that but doesn't come with baggage.

I don't why everyone is so hell bent on trading Monroe lately. Getting annoying.

And yeah, 43% for a center? Yuck

Trade won't work. Besides, why do we want Gasol? We can amnesty CV and have a s4itload of money in the summer.

I doubt there was a "promise." I can understand if Joe said "hey, I haven't called anyone about trading you."

Thats alot different than taking a call because the phone rings.

Who starts at the 3 now? Certainly not Stuck. . . oh my God, we're back to small ball

I'll let tonites game slide because of the trade. But after last nite and tonite, I'd expect to see some wholesale changes if things don't perk up with Cleveland & LA Lakers.

    BK
    Singler
    Max
    Monroe
    ??

    No Daye or Prince.

Might this be the reason for all the hush/hush regarding Stuckey and Frank on Saturday? Screw it, plug in JJ. With JMax at the 4, we can't afford to have a "small" SF. We got creamed on the boards tonite.

More changes are coming. Sooner rather than later I think.

My hope is that this will be the lineup:

    Calderon/Bynum
    Knight/Stuckey
    Jerebko/Singler
    Monroe/CV
    Drummond/Slava

    Dathomir Rancors (1-1)

I guess if we want the eighth seed than Calderon and Drummond have to start. Now we helped Toronto get better though who was one of the teams we were competing with for that last seed.Watching this team We could really use our draft pick this year.

I think this trade will be especially painful for T-Dot fans, cuz it'll give them a look of what could have been, lol.

Here is something I completely forgot. Any comments?

Ben Wallace’s path back to Pistons now clear?
    By Dan Feldman • 6:48 pm • January 30, 2013

By trading two players (Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye) for one (Jose Calderon), the Pistons now have an open roster spot. Patrick just reminded me of something Ben Wallace said in December:

“I’m not retired,” Wallace said. “It’s a good chance I’ll be playing again. Nobody wants to file those (retirement) papers, that’s a hassle.”

Wallace, 38, believes something will happen soon to make a way for him. It’s important to note he said he’d never wear a jersey other than the Pistons’ red, white and blue, so one has to wonder if a spot will open up — or if he’s willing to back off that statement to get back on the court.

Was this the something that would happen soon? I sure hope so.
