Oh sorry, forgot the other 16 games in the year don't matter.

Peyton's much more consistent than Eli.

EDIT: Even if you want to play your "playoffs are all that matter" game, he's consistently average in the postseason. So you're wrong again.

Tom Brady wasn't really in the "elite" category at that time. Brady was considered a really good game manager up until he had that 50td season. The early parts of his career were fueled by great defenses.

If you read a bit, it appears the Superbowl doesn't matters, the playoffs don't matter, only regular matters, only fantasy matters, it's all luck . . . , blame the refs, etc. It all adds up to a pile cr@p while the history books only recognize the Superbowl champ (but we know the fickle don't recognize the champs . . . ever.)

In his 2 Super Bowl runs the dude has thrown 15 TD's to just 2 picks. Over 2000 yards and 63% completion. Not mention he was just about as clutch as a QB can be during those runs.

wtf are you talking about 2 good games. do you even watch football?
the superbowl MVP is the MVP of one game. so if you are saying someone is elite because they have 2 superbowl MVPs, you are basing it off two games. eli for example, has had 2 great post season runs. but is very inconsistant in the other years, which is the reason he is not elite. either way though, using superbowl MVPs to determine elite is stupid because of two things. 1) i measures one game since its not a playoff MVP, 2) they usually give it to the winning qb deserving or not

im not argueing eli's eliteness there, im merely saying that the arguement of player X havigna superbowl or a superbowl MVP makes them elite is beyond stupid. is colin kapernick elite if the 49ers win this weekend?

Forgive him for not having the time write a novel to counter 95% of your 40,000 negative perceptions of anything NY related. Just .05 of 1% indicates he isn't looking at only two Superbowl MVP's. Not that you won't hang on it and ridicule it non-stop. Give a rest.

Eli's first MVP is a crock. His defense held arguably the most impressive offense we've ever seen to 14 points but the award didn't go to a defensive player. Eli was awarded it for scoring 17 points.

Oh trust me, I give Eli props for his playoffs runs. But he's been extremely inconsistent the rest of his career.

The "history books" you keep referencing recognize a lot more than just superbowls.

If you really think ONLY championships matter when judging a player, you're nuts.

Deion Branch is an elite WR based on performance in the playoffs/big games and winning multiple championships and a Superbowl MVP. Agree or disagree?

This is where fans don't understand the game. Rather than have a shootout like week 17, both teams kept it close to the vest. The Giants defense allowed Brady to walk right down the field when he needed it most. Eli returned the favor when the Giants needed it most. Both defenses were even and both defenses failed during the last 4 min of the game. It was the QB's who were at center stage the last two drives with the winner taking it all.

Well superbowls ARE all that matter, so I'd say he's up there with Jerry Rice. They have the same number of superbowl MVPs after all

That's such crap. Your amazing defensive line held the golden boy to 14. When Strahan predicted the Pats would only score 17, Brady ****ing burst out in laughter.

Giving Eli credit for that win is a crock, it will always be.

But NY Sports thinks they kept it close in the beginning on purpose.
