After one year as the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive backs coach, Tony Oden has now landed in Tampa Bay on the staff of Greg Schiano, CoachingSearch.com has learned.
Oden left the Jaguars after one season when new Jacksonville coach Gus Bradley hired Dewayne Walker to coach the defensive backs. In Tampa Bay, Oden is replacing Ron Cooper, who was let go after one year. Cooper caught on at South Florida with Willie Taggart.
Before joining the Jaguars staff, Oden spent six years in New Orleans, the last of those as the primary defensive backs coach. The Cleveland native played college football at Baldwin-Wallace College.
Two weeks ago, Greg Schiano also hired former Arizona Cardinals assistant John McNulty as quarterbacks coach.
