Yanks will look to void the 15 year contract they give Cano 7 years from now when he refuses to run to 1st if the ball is not hit out of the infield.

and if he retires due to the injury, yanks get 85% of the money back AND he comes off of the salary number that counts against the tax!

It does seem like a microcosm of the sentiment towards Arod by most fans though....

Will they tell him to retire?
I think they will and then use the insurance to cover the $114 million...

If these reports are in fact true Alex will be destroyed in many ways.

I doubt we ever see ARod in a Yankee uniform IMO.

Personally I have no issues with Alex, he helped 2009, in fact he carried the Yankees in Oct 2009....

That is how I will remember ARod as a Yankee....
yes particularly in the ALCS where he cheated his way past the angels, who should have played the phillies in the world series.

No because if he retires and decides to come back he has to go back to the yankees, because they hold his contract and they will have to pay him regardless.

that contract is going to get paid by someone, be it the Yankees, the insurance company if he cannot play anymore, or a-rod himself if he just retires, btw he is pretty close to some of those bonuses, he is like 13 from tying mays and like 14 from passing him, which means he gets paid for both.
