There are technicalities to every paragraph in that contract. It will take years to sort out in court.

Arod wouldn't just retire if the Yankees asked him to. I'm sure he'd want to play elsewhere...maybe Miami. Swidt?

I can understand everyone's frustration. A-Rod has a target on his back and still acts recklessly to put himself in a compromising position. But, he certainly isn't the only guy breaking the rules. IMO the majority of professional athletes are taking some sort of PEDS so it really doesn't surprise me. I'm tired of hearing about it. Just legalize them already.

Even if A-Rod were to accept a buyout or an early retirement settlement I highly doubt the MLB Players Association would ever allow him to forfeit so much as one dollar of the existing deal. The precident it would set for future dealings would be detrimental to other players. And we know the MLBPA would never agree to that.

I think Carlos Zambrano once fake retired when he was making 17 or something. Nobody can force you to play

theirs absolutely no way he's walking away from 110m because the Yanks want him to and unless the wording in his morality clause in his contract gives them away to void his contract theirs no way the players association would allow it especially since they just signed a CBA.
