    2013 Boston Bruins Trade Thread

Got tired of posting things in the off-season thread. I thought it would be nice to have just a thread for posting potential moves or trade ideas. Please try to keep conversations civilized and not jump on someone if you think a deal is way off.

This might be my crazy idea yet but hear me out before you go "WTH is OneMan smoking?"

    Trade for Geno Malkin!

Next season the the cap will go down to $64.3 million with roughly 8 rosters spots to fill. The following season the Pens will have another 11 roster spots to fill. Geno will be asking for a similar contract if not more then what he has now ($8.7 million). Here's my idea for Malkin

    To Boston
    Geno Malkin

    To Pittsburgh
    David Krejci
    Malcolm Subban
    Spooner/Koko
    2013 1st

    Lucic - Malkin - Horton
    Marchand - Bergeron - Seguin
    Kelly - Peverley - Bourque
    Thornton - Campbell - Paille

Deal Value - Bruins slight edge
    Likelihood - 5%

what a lineup.....too bad it would never happen, unless Dougie, Seguin, plus what you said were added

I don't think both would be added, I mean if it was you'd want Geno+ back. Even if you added one (which wouldn't happen) they'd replace Subban + 1st

I don't think the Pens would even negotiate on a deal for Malkin... If he were even available I think your looking at: Bergeron/Krejci, Horton/Lucic/Marchand, then add prospect. You're not gonna get him without giving up a few NHL ready talents.

I don't know how realistic I it but I'd lock Wheeler or Ryder back. Ryder's is a ufa this offseason

If Chris Bourque continues to do NOTHING and Caron (if he even gets back...couldn't prove it in AHL this season) doesn't do anything....maybe Ryder would be a guy to go after for this season.

Like you said, he's a FA at the end of the season, CJ LOVES HIM, he played with Pevs and Kelly...can play on the PP, and is a sniper all day.

obviously it all depends on where Dallas is by the T.D, but if there out of it and Bourque/Caron have failed...i'd make a serious run at him.

Wouldn't be opposed to Wheeler as he gives a big body on the 3rd line that can produce.

I would be against trying to bring either Wheeler or Ryder back.

Always liked Ryder, even though he did disappear at times. And I believe he is making slightly less than he was with us.

i would love the Bruins to grab a another 3rd line winger and another defensemen.a guy like Arnott or Samsonov would be nice to see on the powerplay and on the 3rd line

We need a Vet guy winnger & a solid back up goalie. im soso on Anton Khudobin.

also Idk if the Flames are going to trade him but i would love for the B's to look at trading for Jarome Iginla.

Ryder would be great for the playoffs. Wheeler isn't what we need. His game isn't that of a Bruins player which is why he was expendible.

I agree with homie, Wheeler is a player who needs big minutes to produce. As a 3rd line guy here, he would underachieve.

Going off that logic Ryder isn't what the bruins want either. Wheeler is 6'5 and one of te best playmaking wingers in the league... He'd fit in
