Minnesota came out like wild men (no pun intended) in the 1st 5 minutes of the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see them gassed in the 3rd period, especially playing on back to back nights.

Oduya, Hjalmarsson, Kruger, and Crawford were all great on the 5 on 3 PK. I keep saying it the more and more I see him play, I really like Kruger's defensive play. Hawks might have a special talent there.

Hawks are lucky to be leading after the first period. Shaw was at the right place at the right time on his goal and Toews' goal could have been saved by my fiance's 12 pound dog.

With that being said, Frolik took a horrible penalty (boarding) and this game could easily be 3-1 the other way right now.


I expect the hawks to put up several more goals before this one is through and wouldnt be shocked to see Bollig drop the gloves sometime in the next 40 min.

The idea of Saad getting 1st line minutes with Hossa and Toews is UNSAT in my book!

True but so does Frolik. He attacks the net and plays solid D but he isnt on the top line.

I agree about Frolik. But Saad projects as a top 6. He has the skills. If he's not hurting you, I don't mind going through a little growing pains. If it ain't broke...

I know Frolik was projected to be a top 6 when he was drafted, but I'd say he's more of a 3rd liner.

Correct me if Im wrong but it seems like Bolland takes a lot of bad shots. Not just this year but in previous seasons as well.

He seems to take slap shots at the wrong times quite often as well.
