1. He's wrong...
2. What a dumb thing to say. He hasn't had a particularly impressive season statistically since 2009 and he's lucky to be on a team as good as San Francisco, so he should probably try his best to stay out of the spotlight for things like this (which he did well most of the season, but apparently no longer). Making it worse is that he is saying this leading up to the Super Bowl, giving his team unnecessary controversy, and that he is playing for the 49ers who had the REAL greatest receiver of all time for sixteen seasons. The vast majority of the 49ers fanbase probably found Moss' claim laughable.
I'm still going to be rooting for San Francisco, but it sickens me that either Moss or Lewis is going to get a championship this weekend.
No one here gives a **** about the 1930s/1940s...it was basically an entire different sport back then...not even worth comparing the players IMO. I try to stay away from these "best ever" debates for that reason. I mean, for god sakes, in 1940 the Lions leading passer was a guy named "Whizzer White" (3 time all pro, 2x league rushing champion, all decade team.. in only 3 seasons played!!!), who was also the punter.

idk if anyone heard Moss' other comments....but he made it seem as if he wasn't happy in SF. He said he didn't like his role on the team and when asked how he would describe Harbaugh he said "a coach".
he's not but as great as Randy is He never lived up to his potential
of course, but as long as Calvin stays healthy he will be right in that same category, and Calvin hasnt shown any indication of playing half-@$$ed at all like Randy did, so its def not out of the question to think Calvin will end up with better career numbers. Personally Id take Calvin right now over a Randy Moss in his prime, and its unknown if Calvin is in his prime right now.
