    I don't believe that we're "interested". The article clearly states that it was an informal discussion. Someone probably mentioned him for ***** and giggles and it became a story. Gotta love this NY media.

    Media or not, I wouldn't tell anyone I was even interested in JaMarcus Russell. You people think Sanchez is bad; Sanchez is Peyton Manning compared to this guy!

    Profootballtalk's Mike Florio reports the Jets have "no interest" in JaMarcus Russell.
    Late Monday, the Newark Star-Ledger reported the Jets held "very exploratory, informal discussions" about adding Russell to their bag of quarterbacks. It's not surprising to hear the Jets say they're not interested, but it was fun for the 12 hours it lasted. Per The Sideline View's Adam Caplan, Russell has hired a personal trainer and is in search of an agent. He seems intent on at least trying to get a job offer.

    That is probably more accurate than any reporting I have heard or read about the Jets in quite some time.
