Late Monday, the Newark Star-Ledger reported the Jets held "very exploratory, informal discussions" about adding Russell to their bag of quarterbacks. It's not surprising to hear the Jets say they're not interested, but it was fun for the 12 hours it lasted. Per The Sideline View's Adam Caplan, Russell has hired a personal trainer and is in search of an agent. He seems intent on at least trying to get a job offer.
